Egypt’s Western Desert Operating Petroleum Co. (WEPCO) is gearing up to construct three new solar warehouses in New Alameen City during the fiscal year 2023/2024. This development was confirmed in a statement by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
Ibrahim Masoud, CEO of WEPCO, provided additional insights during a video conference with Minister of Petroleum Tarek El-Molla. He noted that WEPCO had handled approximately 81 million barrels of port storage facilities within a year and shipped around 21 million barrels through maritime facilities. Furthermore, WEPCO achieved a production milestone of approximately two million barrels of crude oil, with an average daily production rate of 5,300 barrels during the same year.
