A boat named Sea Story has reportedly sunk off the coast of Egypt near Shaab Satayah, a popular diving spot close to the tourist resort of Marsa Alam. The alarm was raised at approximately 5:30 AM this morning by a crew member, prompting the Egyptian coastguard to launch a search operation for the missing tourists.
The Sea Story had been on a multi-day diving trip in the Red Sea, one of the world’s most sought-after diving destinations. As of now, there is no update on the whereabouts of the passengers, and the search efforts are ongoing. The boat’s route, commonly used for such trips, was well-travelled before the incident occurred.
