Third Egyptian Women’s Summit to Address Gender Equality and Empowerment

The Top 50 Women Forum announced on Monday that the Third Egyptian Women’s Summit is scheduled to take place on March 3-4 under the auspices of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly.

The Egyptian Women’s Summit 2024 aims to foster significant discussions on gender equality, combat various forms of gender discrimination, and establish funding and rehabilitation mechanisms to advance women’s empowerment. In collaboration with the European Union and in partnership with the Egyptian National Council for Women (NCW), the two-day event will kick off under the theme “A 360° Guide toward a Prosperous Life.”

The Summit will bring together influential women from diverse industries and generations, alongside senior government officials, EU ambassadors, private sector representatives, international organizations, and developmental initiatives. Key features of the event include the Eu-supported Great Women of Egypt Exhibition and an employment fair. The panels will cover topics such as Global Changes and the Enabling Environment, Global Environment into Practice: Laws, Public Policies, Empowerment Programmes, European Inspiring Trajectories/Experiences, and A Vision toward Gender Equality at the Workplace.

In a first for this year’s Summit, the Entrepreneurial Investor Competition: Empowering and Uniting will be introduced to promote women’s entrepreneurship and recognize impactful projects during the exhibition.

The event will also host EU-supported coaching sessions on career readiness, team building, mastering your career, essential skills for success, and habits of the most effective people. Supported by Pathfinder, workshops will cover financial inclusion and women’s social empowerment.

Education for Employment-Egypt (EFE-Egypt) will sponsor coaching sessions on Women Empowerment Model, AI: Opening Doors to Innovation and Growth, Personal Branding, Fostering Collaboration and Positivity in the Workplace, and Communication Skills: Success Milestone.

The speaker lineup for the 2024 Egyptian Women’s Summit is expected to include Dina Abdel Fattah, Founder of Top 50 Women Forum; Christian Berger, Head of the European Union Delegation to Egypt; Sean Jones, USAID/Egypt Mission Director; Maya Morsy, President of the NCW; Mona Zulficar, Founding Partner of Zulficar and Partners; Rania Abdel-Moneim, Expert in Economic Legislation. Representatives from Pathfinder, PepsiCo, Shell, and Vodafone will also contribute to the discussions.
