French industrial group Schneider Electric and Egyptian real estate developer LMD inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Thursday to implement sustainable solutions for managing multiple smart cities in Egypt and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The collaborative agreement encompasses projects such as Stei8ht and One Ninety in Egypt, along with LMD’s ventures in Dubai. The primary objectives include the efficient management of project systems and utilities, the reduction of carbon emissions, and the promotion of eco-friendly practices, as outlined in an official statement. Schneider Electric is set to provide intelligent urban management solutions for LMD UAE and LMD Egypt’s projects, featuring the AVEVA Unified Operations Centre, designed to ensure secure control over all operations.
This strategic collaboration was formalized on the sidelines of COP28, which took place in Dubai.
