Qatar and Egypt have jointly reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to ongoing and coordinated mediation efforts aimed at resolving the conflict in Gaza, according to a statement released by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.
The joint statement underscored the critical humanitarian crisis unfolding in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that the two nations are united in their vision to bring an end to the unprecedented suffering of civilians. Their mediation efforts are geared towards paving the way for a comprehensive ceasefire and ensuring the urgent delivery of much-needed humanitarian aid to the affected population.
In a strong message against attempts to undermine their efforts, Qatar and Egypt asserted that any attempts to sow division through doubt, distortion, or media escalation would be futile. They declared that such tactics “will not deter us from our joint efforts to end the war and its resulting humanitarian catastrophe.”
