President Sisi, Sultan Haitham Strengthen Ties with Eid al-Adha Exchange

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman exchanged warm greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, reaffirming the deep-rooted bonds between the two nations during one of Islam’s most sacred holidays.

In an official statement from the Egyptian Presidency, President Sisi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Sultan and the people of Oman, wishing them peace, prosperity, and continued progress. The call emphasized the spirit of fraternity and unity that characterizes the historic ties between Egypt and Oman.

Sultan Haitham reciprocated the well-wishes, praising the strength of bilateral relations and expressing his hopes for Egypt’s ongoing stability and development.

Diplomatic sources say the Eid exchange is part of a broader pattern of high-level communication between Cairo and Muscat, with both countries committed to coordination on regional security, trade, and cultural affairs.

The gesture comes at a time of shifting alliances and economic recalibrations across the Middle East, as both Egypt and Oman seek to reinforce cooperation on key issues ranging from maritime security to energy partnerships.

The leaders also used the opportunity to extend their prayers for peace in the region, particularly amid ongoing humanitarian concerns in Gaza and efforts to stabilize conflict-affected areas across the Arab world.

Eid al-Adha, known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” will be celebrated next week, marking a time of spiritual reflection, charity, and unity for Muslims around the world.
