During a recent live show with Bassem Youssef, Palestinian photojournalist Motaz Azaiza highlighted the imminent threat of winter in the Gaza Strip. The 11-minute broadcast, now viewed over 2.7 million times, featured Azaiza sharing insights into the current situation.
Azaiza revealed Israel’s strategy of attempting to concentrate the Palestinian population in the southern part of the strip, exposing them to increased vulnerability to bombardment. He disclosed that Israel had instructed Palestinians to evacuate from the north to purported “safe zones” in the south, which, according to Azaiza, were far from secure.
Additionally, Azaiza underscored the media’s tendency to overlook Palestinian casualties in the West Bank, emphasizing its significance despite lower numbers compared to Gaza.
