Nokia and Dell Technologies have unveiled a collaboration aimed at deploying private 5G networks and enhancing network adaptation to the cloud, as per a statement released by Nokia on Thursday.
Customers utilizing Nokia’s cloud-centric data center business, Nokia AirFrame, will now have access to a comprehensive and scalable private wireless solution, as confirmed by Nokia’s Chief Strategy and Technology Officer. The partnership involves the integration of Nokia’s Digital Automation Cloud (NDAC) with Dell’s NativeEdge software platform, facilitating the advancement of open network architectures within the telecom ecosystem and fostering the implementation of private 5G use cases for businesses.
The joint efforts will extend to ongoing research and development initiatives, encompassing the testing of platforms and applications in the Dell Open Telecom Ecosystem Lab, as outlined in the statement. Furthermore, both companies have outlined plans to certify workloads on Dell Telecom Infrastructure Blocks supporting Nokia Cloud offerings. The collaboration is set to continue, including joint original equipment manufacturer (OEM) engagements.
