INTELCIA, a Moroccan business process outsourcing (BPO) company, has revealed plans to invest 500 million Egyptian pounds ($16.182 million) in Egypt to establish a specialized outsourcing firm. The announcement was made during a press conference held on Wednesday.
Over the next two years, INTELCIA aims to increase its investment to reach 2 billion pounds, with a primary focus on hiring 5,000 employees within the next four years, according to Nidal Afid, Egypt Cluster Director of INTELCIA.
During the initial stage, the Moroccan company plans to employ 1,000 individuals, with recruitment efforts commencing in the Smart Village and Borg El Arab Technology Park. Subsequently, the scope of recruitment will expand to other governorates, Afid added.
Afid emphasized that INTELCIA chose the Egyptian market due to its ability to offer outsourcing services in multiple languages, leveraging the language capabilities of Egyptian youth, which are essential for the provision of outsourcing services.
Furthermore, Afid highlighted the significance of the Egyptian market’s understanding of the nature of the Arab region, positioning Egypt as the company’s gateway to the Gulf market.
With a presence in 17 countries worldwide, INTELCIA has set a target to generate revenue of €1.5 billion by 2025, Afid mentioned during the press conference.
