Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Egypt has reaffirmed Cairo’s pivotal role in fostering diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and the Arab world, describing Egypt as “one of our main partners in the region.”
In an exclusive interview, the envoy outlined the depth of bilateral cooperation, noting that the partnership spans trade, education, energy, and cultural exchange. He emphasised that Egypt’s strategic position, political influence, and long-standing diplomatic experience make it a vital link in Kazakhstan’s engagement with Arab nations.
“Egypt is not just a regional power; it is a gateway to Africa and the Arab world. Our cooperation has yielded tangible results in multiple sectors, and we are committed to expanding these ties,” the ambassador said.
He highlighted recent agreements aimed at boosting trade volume, enhancing tourism flows, and promoting joint investments, particularly in infrastructure and renewable energy. The envoy also pointed to growing academic exchanges, with more Egyptian students pursuing higher education in Kazakhstan.
The ambassador expressed optimism that ongoing projects and upcoming high-level visits would further consolidate the partnership, stressing that mutual respect and shared priorities have been the bedrock of the two countries’ relationship.
This year marks a notable phase in Kazakhstan-Egypt relations, with both governments working to align their economic goals under broader regional cooperation frameworks.
