The short lifespan of many African businesses is closely tied to their founders, whose deaths can endanger both the business and the innovative ideas behind it. This issue is further aggravated by inadequate documentation and a lack of shared experiences, resulting in limited learning opportunities for younger entrepreneurs seeking to build on past successes. To address this, GlobalMentorBridge is hosting the “Beyond Ideas” summit in Lagos on August 3, 2024, at the Landmark Centre. This event will bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and startups for a day of knowledge exchange, networking, and mentorship. Keynote speakers include Ifeoma Malo, Don Ebubeogu, and Abimbola Adebakin, among others. The summit aims to bridge generational and sectoral gaps through effective mentoring and purposeful networking and has received support from various Nigerian businesses and international partners, including Al-Hussein Technical University in Jordan.
