Egyptian and US Women Share Common Societal Challenges, says US Embassy Representative

During a panel discussion on the first day of the Egyptian Women’s Summit, Evyenia Sidereas, Deputy Head of Mission at the US Embassy in Egypt, highlighted the shared societal challenges faced by Egyptian and US women. She pointed out that challenges in family support, child-rearing, and contributing to the economy are common issues for women in both countries.

Sidereas stressed the importance of creating opportunities for women to play more significant roles in society and the economy. She also highlighted the role of US institutions in implementing various assistance programs across the country to achieve targeted sustainable development goals.

The Egyptian Women’s Summit, organized by the Top 50 Women Forum in collaboration with the National Council for Women (NCW) and the European Union (EU), is scheduled to take place on March 3-4. As part of the summit, Dina Abdel Fattah, President of the Top 50 Forum, launched the first exhibition for university graduate girls and young children, coinciding with International Women’s Month and Egyptian Women’s Day.
