EgyptAir, the state-run aviation company, successfully operated its inaugural direct flight from Cairo to Manchester, marking a significant expansion of its operations in the United Kingdom. The Egyptian Civil Aviation Ministry confirmed the milestone on Saturday, highlighting the airline’s commitment to enhancing its air network and maximizing the utilization of its fleet.
With the launch of the Cairo-Manchester route, EgyptAir’s total number of flights to the UK will reach 20 per week. This includes 14 flights to London, five flights to Manchester, and a flight from Luxor to London’s Heathrow Airport. The addition of the Manchester route strengthens the airline’s presence in the UK, offering passengers more travel options and facilitating greater connectivity between Egypt and the UK.
Mohamed Abbas, the Minister of Civil Aviation, emphasized that EgyptAir’s strategic decision to introduce the Cairo-Manchester route aligns with the company’s goal of optimizing its air fleet and expanding its air network. The move reflects EgyptAir’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for air travel and providing convenient connections for both business and leisure travelers.
