Egypt Says More Arab Nations Ready to Normalize Ties With Israel Once Gaza War Ends

Egypt has revealed that several Arab countries are prepared to sign peace agreements with Israel, but only after the ongoing war in Gaza comes to an end. The statement, made by a senior Egyptian official, highlights the region’s growing desire for stability and a long-term solution to the Palestinian conflict.

According to Cairo, the continuation of hostilities in Gaza remains the major obstacle to broader normalization. Egypt emphasized that Arab states are willing to take diplomatic steps toward peace, provided there is a credible path to ceasefire, reconstruction, and renewed dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians.

“Peace cannot thrive amid war and devastation,” an Egyptian Foreign Ministry source said. “The region needs a political horizon an end to bloodshed and a genuine commitment to the two-state solution.”

Observers note that Egypt’s remarks come amid renewed U.S. efforts to encourage Arab-Israeli reconciliation, similar to the Abraham Accords signed in 2020. However, public opinion across the Arab world remains deeply opposed to normalization while Gaza continues to face severe humanitarian crises.

Egypt, a key mediator in past ceasefire negotiations, continues to play a central role in brokering peace talks and facilitating humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

If the war were to end and a political framework emerges, analysts believe countries such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, and others could move closer toward formal diplomatic ties with Israel a step that would reshape Middle Eastern geopolitics and strengthen regional cooperation.
