Egypt Lays Foundation for Japanese Otsuka Factory with 1 Billion EGP Investment

Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan Al-Khatib, officiated the groundbreaking ceremony for a new factory by Japanese company Otsuka in the 10th of Ramadan City on Sunday. The facility, with a total investment of 1 billion Egyptian pounds, will focus on the production of nutraceutical products.

Al-Khatib highlighted that the factory, which aims to serve export markets in Africa and the Gulf region, has received significant support from the Egyptian government, including the granting of a Golden License to expedite its development.

He also noted that Otsuka is one of only three Japanese companies to receive this special license, positioning the company as a key example for other international firms looking to invest in Egypt.
