Egypt Hosts Cairo Ministerial Meeting on Humanitarian Response to Gaza

Egypt is hosting the Cairo Ministerial Meeting on Reinforcing Humanitarian Response to Gaza on Monday, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The conference aims to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and secure international commitments to provide much-needed aid.

The meeting is attended by a high-level delegation, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Amina Mohamed, and representatives from 103 countries, organizations, and financial institutions.

The primary objectives of the conference are to secure clear commitments for aid to Gaza, ensure the sustainability of aid supplies to the region, mobilize immediate assistance, and develop plans for the early recovery of the enclave. The event underscores the urgency of international cooperation in alleviating the humanitarian suffering faced by the people of Gaza.
