Controversy Surrounds IDF Christmas Greeting Amidst Ongoing Attacks on Gaza Churches

Israeli Occupation Faces Criticism for Targeting Civilians

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) raised eyebrows by extending Christmas wishes to the world amidst allegations of bombing and shooting civilians inside churches in Gaza. The Israeli occupation has been under scrutiny for consistently targeting churches since the October 7 attacks.

This ongoing aggression has drastically reduced the Christian population in Gaza to an estimated 800-1,000 civilians, with a striking two percent of the population reportedly killed in a single strike. Adding to the grim situation, less than ten days before Christmas, an Israeli sniper reportedly shot a Christian mother and her daughter inside a church. Tragically, one victim was shot while seeking refuge, and the other lost her life while attempting to guide the wounded to safety.

The reported Israeli war crimes in Gaza have been numerous, prompting criticism from various quarters. However, amidst these allegations, the international community’s focus on celebrating the birth of Jesus is noted, raising questions about the dichotomy between festivities and the reported violence against civilians in the region.
