Qatar and Egypt have reaffirmed their joint commitment to broker a lasting solution that would end the ongoing war in Gaza, Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani announced on Thursday.
Speaking at a press briefing in Doha, the Qatari leader emphasized that both nations are working tirelessly with international partners to secure a ceasefire and pave the way for humanitarian relief. “Our efforts remain focused on stopping the bloodshed, alleviating the suffering of civilians, and laying the foundation for a sustainable peace,” he said.
Egypt, which shares a border with Gaza, has been instrumental in facilitating aid delivery and mediating between Israel and Palestinian factions. Qatar, meanwhile, has played a key role in diplomatic negotiations, leveraging its international ties to push for dialogue.
Analysts say the collaboration between the two regional powers could prove decisive in breaking the current deadlock. While challenges remain, particularly around political concessions and security guarantees, both governments insist their partnership is anchored in a shared vision of regional stability.
The renewed pledge comes amid mounting international calls for an end to hostilities and the urgent need to address the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
